Luciana Morelli is an Argentinean singer and composer living in Basel, Switzerland. In 2012 she formed Luciana Morelli quintet and recorded her first album "Mandala" (2014) of jazz standards and own compositions. The quintet won the contest "Música en Bares Notables" (Buenos Aires 2015) and performed at the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival 2015. In 2016 she created Jazz At The Movies, an audiovisual jazz and film show that is presented weekly at Bebop Club, a famous jazz club in Buenos Aires.
Currently, Luciana presents original arrangements of Argentinian folklore by Ernesto Amstein, and new compositions, from photographs, dreams or texts, in which the language of jazz is crossed by Argentinian folkloric rhythms
